The new book Eames & Vitra is an inspiring publication that tells the story of the collaboration between Vitra and the Eameses in the third generations — from Vitra’s beginnings as a furniture manufacturers to possessing part of Charles & Ray Eames’s estate within the Vitra Design Museum.
The book underlines the couple’s vision and approach to design as well as the lasting importance and vitality of their creations. It features detailed descriptions of all products in the Vitra Eames portfolio along with their background stories, and pairs historic photographs with present-day images of modern usage in homes, offices, and public spaces.
The book is subdivided into three thematic parts: the story of Eames & Vitra with new details; the Eames products produced by Vitra with exciting background information; and historical photography with current Home, Office, and Public imagery.
