“The Fabulous Fifties” was a television program broadcast on January 22, 1960, on the CBS network. The program produced by Leland Hayward for CBS, recapped the significant events of the 1950s and included six film segments made by the Eames Office. The short film segments, designed as visual interludes to be shown between appearances by celebrity guests (including Julie Andrews, Rex Harrison, Jackie Gleason, Shelley Berman, Elaine May, and Mike Nichols), and made use of animation, live-action, and still photography. Charles and Ray each won an Emmy Award in “Graphics” in 1960 for their work on “The Fabulous Fifties.”
