OTW

DATE - 1948

The OTW, or the Eames Rectangular Table, which we now offer in two different lengths, was developed by Charles and Ray as a product of their process of developing their molded plywood chairs. In fact, when they perfected the bent plywood legs for the Eames LCW, they realized that the back legs of the LCW would also work very well as table legs, so each table is set upon four such shaped plywood legs. The tops are sheets of plywood, available in various premium face wood veneers or with plastic laminates. Originally known as “OTW” FOR “Occasional Table Wood,” the name they used in the very earliest sales literature, we now call it the Eames Rectangular Coffee Table.
