Eames Rectangular Coffee Table

1948 – 1952, 2011 – Present

The Eames Rectangular Coffee Table is a perfect example of Charles and Ray’s desire to continually explore and refine their designs.

Part of the original group of Eames plywood designs, this coffee table features a rectangular top, which Charles and Ray created after producing their well-known round CTW and CTM. They shaped the legs using the same technique they invented for their lightweight Molded Plywood Chairs. It was available through Herman Miller from 1947 to 1954 as a 36-inch long table known as the OTW.

Today, the table is available again, exclusively from Herman Miller. The design offers clean lines and elegant simplicity. In form and spirit, it brings beauty and usefulness to any living, working, or lounging environment.

The Eames Rectangular Coffee Table comes in white laminate, walnut, ebony, or white ash, and is offered in two lengths: 36 inches and 48 inches. Both are 14-inches high, and 22-inches wide.
