This book of postcards, as the name indicates, should serve as a means of introducing one to the eclectic world of Eames photography. Images were key to the design process of the Eameses, whether it was capturing a chair postproduction, or various detail oriented close-ups of the materials that might be used, photography was essential. The images in this book are as interconnected with the world as the husband and wife duo themselves, ranging from a nasturtium leaf with morning dew to an extreme close-up of a fish’s eye, one never knew where inspiration might be met. As Charles ones said, taking a picture is like having your cake and eating it too; you got the pleasure of the moment, of taking the picture, and you got the pleasure of sharing it later.
