This book of postcards shows the progression of design through the Eameses most famed medium, furniture. Charles and Ray did not simply just build chairs; they created the technological process for which their designs could be made possible. Images were key to the design process of the Eameses, whether it was capturing a chair postproduction, or various detail oriented close-ups of the materials that might be used, photography was essential. The photos of the chairs contained within offer a view of the designs through the lens of the designer who made them.
