Eames House Closure Posted March 15, 2020 by Marlow Hoffman
The Eames Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to preserving and maintaining the Eames House, will be closed March 15 – June 30, 2020. The Eames Office, a proud Founding Sponsor of the Eames Foundation, will keep you apprised of any further changes regarding Eames House visits as they continue to monitor the Coronavirus outbreak.

The Eames House will be closed to visitors from March 15 through June 30, 2020. Staff will be on-site in order to respond to any questions by phone or email. The Eames Foundation will continue to watch developments and will be responding accordingly.
For now, we can all help to flatten the curve.
Here is today’s thought about Charles and Ray’s focus on making the world a better place for all of us:
In the Eameses’ 1967 slideshow Excellence, G.E.M., Charles said: “There is, however, a tradition that is held in common by natural philosophers, explorers, pioneer woodsmen—anyone who is in his daily life has been compelled to face new problems. That is, tradition of respect and concern for the properties and the quality of everything in the world around them.”
