The World of Franklin and Jefferson (book)

1975 – 1976

Charles and Ray produced this book to accompany their exhibition, The World of Franklin and Jefferson. The Office designed both the book and the show with the cooperation of The Metropolitan Museum of Art through a grant from IBM.

The book, which focuses on two of the most influential architects of American independence, is divided into four sections: “Friends and Acquaintances,” “Contrast and Continuity,” “Three Documents,” and “Jefferson and the West.”

The Eameses published The World of Franklin and Jefferson in both hardcover and softcover editions in full color, but today, it is no longer in print.
