November 15, 2018: Join Exhibit Columbus for an evening of presentations and conversations with architect Frida Escobedo and Eames scholar Daniel Ostroff.

Meet 2018-19 J. Irwin and Xenia S. Miller Prize Winner, Frida Escobedo of Frida Escobedo Studio (Mexico City), and special guest Daniel Ostroff, an Eames scholar and film producer.

Ostroff will present on Eames + Morality prior to the program with Frida Escobedo. He is the author of the books Modern Classic, Eames + Valastro, and Collecting Eames. He was consulting curator for Eames Words and curator of Collecting Eames: The JF Chen Collection, both for The Getty Museum’s Pacific Standard Time Consortium.

In Escobedo’s first public presentation in Columbus, Indiana, she will discuss the installation her studio is creating for the Cleo Rogers Memorial Library Plaza during Exhibit Columbus’ 2019 exhibition, which opens to the public on August 24, 2019.

Following presentations by Ostroff and Escobedo, Chris Merritt will lead a moderated discussion with both guests. Merritt is a landscape architect and founding principal of Merritt Chase, and currently serves on the Curatorial Advisory Committee for Exhibit Columbus.
